MEET THE FOUNDER

About Karina

Karina Abramova is a transformational guide for holistic wellbeing, nature-led creative, conscious leadership community builder and public speaker on creativity and engagement with nature. She spent 20 years as a global business executive in technology, innovation, and cultural insight, working with some of the world’s most recognised and future-facing brands.

Awakened to her purpose in 2020 by the power of nature, Karina decided to direct her skills, talents and passion toward bringing people to their own connection to nature. It was not a surprise plot twist in her life, but rather a remembering of her curiosity for the natural world, animals and plants, when she was a child. She made a full circle and began the cycle again, this time with the tools and skills of an adult.

She left the corporate world to begin the MA Applied Imagination program at Central Saint Martins, where she researched how aesthetics and emerging technology can engage people with regenerative and climate action. Her action research led to powerful insights which you can view in Art & Nature.

She now combines art, emerging technology and indigenous cosmovision to create transformative experiences that unite people and empower healing. She learned meaningful lessons on resilience, empowerment and survival during her time “in the woods”, and this contributed to her formulation of the Conscious Leadership pillars.

However, her story begins earlier:

A Bachelor of Commerce graduate with a Philosophy Award, she grew up on a diet of classic literature and the internet somewhere between Russia and Canada. She cut her teeth at agency-side analyzing and strategizing for global smartphone rivals before iPhone turned 3. She had been bringing future-forward culture and innovations to the table ever since she began penning a consumer tech trends newsletter in 2013.

Always sensitive to shifts in the human experience and people’s needs and desires, she formulated strategies to develop brands like BMW, NIVEA, and Starbucks in the world of digital where consumer-centricity was King. During that process, she grew communities from zero to hundred thousand and knocked out gems like the most-retweeted brand tweet of all time – at that time.

She is no stranger to emerging industries and cutting-edge sectors. For the five years until 2022 at Bacardi as the Global Director of Cultural Insights and Trends, Karina developed future human narratives, creative ideas, and pivot points for the portfolio of premium brands, while inspiring consumer-centric action across marketing, sales, and digital teams during the times of uncertainty. She called out no and low alcohol drinks, diversity & inclusion, and home entertaining as key trends to action before Seedlip launched, Black Lives Matter swelled, and Coronavirus made us homebound.

Her specialties in the business realm are bold ideas, connecting with people at the heart, humanizing technology and moving the commercial needle. She is a no-nonsense changemaker with hopeful vision, storytelling skills and passion, whose legacy lives in the companies to this day.

Life since leaving the office building:

Karina yearned for people to develop a deeper relationship with the natural world, while calling humanity to unity consciousness. In 2021, she moved to Hampshire, UK to be closer to Nature and to create from a quieter place. There, she enjoyed connecting with the community and the ecology of the New Forest, which was “new” a thousand years ago when William the Conqueror planted it. That’s the kind of long-term Cathedral Thinking she’s inspired by.

Karina always bet on digital solutions to be our tools and she hopes for regenerative unity consciousness to shift humanity into more equitable and sustainable futures. At the prestigious Central Saint Martins, she investigated how digital objects might affect physical change, toward environmental awareness and action. Art is her vehicle, because numerous studies show that it is emotions that drive our decision-making.

Her work landed her a solo art show in West London, an invitation the Affordable Art Fair London and an exhibition in Davos, Switzerland.

Karina’s insatiable curiosity about climate mitigation solutions led her to all corners of the environmental ecosystem – from farmers to national parks, to climate psychologists and green finance doms. She created nature connection experiences for the New Forest Park Authority and pitched a community planting offering at the Eden Project to Sir Tim Smit himself.

She was recruited as the Head of Projects at Platform Earth, an arts-led charity bringing carbon conscious materials to the artworld and selling donated artworks by world-renowned artists such as Marina Abramovic, Rachel Whitehead, Brian Eno, and Tracey Emin among others to raise funds toward restoration of kelp and mangrove forests. The pinnacle of this experience was the production of an environmental exhibition during the Venice Biennale of Art in 2024 as well as a public talks programme with key artists, scientists and culture-makers.

Her involvement with environmental restoration experts, conservation and natural carbon capture projects in the UK and Mexico led her to an advisory role for ZERO10, a COP28 award-winning blockchain-driven international carbon exchange and registry.

She has her reservations about carbon credits but wholeheartedly supports biodiversity, rewilding and conservation projects and would love to collaborate with them internationally.

Looking to the future:

Her dream is to establish a global nourishing and nourished community whose members are cultural, environmental, and enterprising participants who share common ecological and spiritual goals, while solving world’s pressing problems with their hearts, souls and minds.

She works to empower next-generation educators and environmental stewarding groups on the ground, while seeding conscious leadership behaviour among businesses and governments.

She is a public speaker who landed at many stages including leading web3 conferences, London Tech Week and the British Parliament, as well as COP27 and the University of Arts London. She lectured at the London College of Communications and the College of eSports.

Not just a tech-whiz, Karina studied ancient indigenous wisdom to balance out her futuristic side, and she became a qualified healing modalities practitioner. Through her networks in the UK and abroad, she has access to multidisciplinary conscious practitioners who walked the path of peace, community, and connection for many years, and she feels supported by the elders in her quest. She incorporates ancient wisdom in her wellbeing practice while weaving innovative experiences for human connection.

Karina is inspired by and co-creates with women bringing the new feminine leadership qualities to attention, such as FemmeQ,  She believes that "we are not going back to [questionable] normal", and we need softer, intuitive, collaborative and more creative forces of change from the domain of the feminine. She is most notably an Oracle at the Divine Feminine Leader sisterhood collective of purposeful business women formed between New York and Los Angeles.

She is looking to the future with courage, open heart, and adaptability. Her creative practice will inspire inner wholeness climate resilience and community building in spaces for nature appreciation.

And she will continue to expand in public communication to empower social change.
